Templates for the vBadvanced links.
for these templates to work correctly there are conditions !!!
we split the areas as we did on the forums. The arrangement of the areas is
critical for this to work properly .
1/ All areas must be and have a "
Header Category "
Quote:
in the Category Options of the settings :
Act as Category? Will act as a "Header Category" if no. this 'MUST be set to NO'
|
examples are : Style Owners , Free Style User , Miscellaneous .
these links have been changed in these to use the browselinks and not the index .
this along with a couple of other permissives moved in the templates makes this work . 2/ as with the forums : do not embed top level Categories .
you can try, know they will not work if you can NOT post to them . this is for a " simple or basic " display as seen here !
20 templates need to be edited : the 5 listed below must all be done or none of them at all !!
if unsure just try 5 templates before copying them all, or experiment to get what you want - ask, we may be able to help .
try :
ADV_LINKS
ADV_LINKS_BROWSELINKS
adv_links_categorybit_level1
adv_links_categorybit_level2
adv_links_categorybit_main
add/ upLoad the 2 images in the zip to the styles misc directory - this keeps the areas spaced the same when split .
if you use or know how to use :
Advanced Template Manager - vBulletin.org Forum
you can import the templates into the style - read and its' pretty simple .. .
the file is attached to import .. .
no i will not make the install file this can make -- have never used it tryed it or, untill i have used it i will not pass it along. its' probaly good and all but .. . Quote:

as with all changes : BACKUP your templates, if using the template importer, i and you should also back up the data base - just in case .
