I live in a 3 Bedroom house in Pasadena, CA with a guest house and a semi big yard. The house is 2400 square feet and if we were to sell it now, it'll probably fetch upwards of $1 million. Housing in Los Angeles is ridiculous. Our hosue was built in 1954 though, and it still is holding up fairly well. Yes the plumbing needs some work as does the kitchen, but if you like an older house its not that hard to fix it up even before you move in.
