depending on what your doing are a lot of different ways -

if something is out of line when changing between fluid and fixed .
then it could be changed/ fixed different -
the clear image cell - the <td could be width="100%" - but depending on additional links may wrap them .

red is the header image and its cell .
blue is the additional links
darkgreen is the table - one step ahead is in ( had to or ie disagrees with firefox and opera on displays .

indigo - is what and where to add an additional image - the path is in the misc dir - everything in the header is aligned to the bottom .

some times all of this will not wrap correct using the code with colors -- the purple is on another line , but may appear to the right -- print view displays it correctly .
