Default Has anyone ever seen this?

Hello,

After my computer boots, this window comes up:

Microsoft Visual C++

Runtime error!

C:\Windows\System32\cidaemon.exe

R6025

pure virtual function call

Since this has been coming up, my computer is much slower.

Thanks,

Hi,

I've moved your post from the Graphics Support - free forum as oddly that forum is for support with graphics

We're not a computer hardware/software support site, but a vBulletin styles site with areas for help on style designs, so unfortunately I am unable to help with the problem you appear to be suffering.

Come on...I can see the connection...vB runs on servers....servers are computers......computers have problems. It all makes sense

As for the problem, that file is related to the indexing service. The fact that it is crashing is a bit of a concern as it is normally a quite stable, if processor intensive process. It allows for faster searching of your computer, however searching without it is not that slow.

The following article will tell you how to disable the service.

Windows XP may run slowly and you may see multiple symptoms in Windows Task Manager

It is not necessary, so there should be no problem shutting it down. However I would run you virus scanner and/or spyware scanner soon. The fact that it is crashing may mean there is something else going on with the computer.
