right now its' cmps - am, well may switch , debating it as i saw another option and it may make more possibilities, especially here with all the stuff i am using - as info can be pulled into the Dyn also

think it would make life easier, even though its' 2 programs .. .
Local Race Chat
is a good example -- working on the templates now for the Dya and cmps mod to read the content .

vBa is a good/ well excellent traffic director that can include so much into it, including non vB powered pages .

may be the one of the best options for here anyway .
have about 6 other mods that are all in the progress of getting finished - just a matter of 'finishing' them . part way with some and just about with most .. .

working super hard on finishing up this weekend - then can do something else i still have to finish .

the image tag is just that - will use the image they have linked to it .
we made one that links a thumb to a larger image - bbcode, but just a replacement easy way for us to let others see the image with out being registered .

if you dont wish the images big and prefer thumbs all the time - disable the image code, and tell every one to attach the image . it can be inserted in the post anyplace. as in the thumb below --
MACin2.jpg
if its' linking from another site - upload or storage - vB.org has a couple of mods that use the thumbs and link .

no nothing about vB journal - from a quick search of Yahoo -
read a couple of things - is it a blog ? ..
or a front end .

saw a bunch of problems - think do a search and see what others say, think then its' back to personally preference on what your using it for and the direction of the site .

sorry i couldnt' help more - just can comment on what i know and have used - and because it works for us - it may not be right for you .. .

I've used vbJournal on my site and I don't think it's a good idea to use it as a portal. It's a blog software basically and a very limited and simple one.

You may use it with some .htaccess redirection to use vbJournal as a portal but it's not a good idea at all. Vbadvanced is far more useful for using as a portal because it's been designed to use as a frontpage or portal for vBulletin, vbJournal's been designed just to be a blog.

not much into blogs -- even though its' something people do enjoy :

vB has one -- price of it think i would use vBa Dya for one -
http://gfxstyles.com/dynamics/

can add your own cat to this as a member and choose some on who sees' what - same price, and it can also do more at the same time .

news - is a mod to pull from it into the CMPs - articles .

would like to see the page option in vB for the forums

one day will finish setting it up , correctly , this month i hope

not sure what this one is ?? any ideas -- or i could just ask

As vbJournal is an integration like vbAdvanced, you can use both of them.
