The breakdown on this one goes something like this.

I liked the tribal design from the last one I did and wanted to do something that featured it more prominantly. Once I'd done that I wanted it to have a glow, but the best glow I got only looked good on a light background while the design itself with that particular chrome/rock effect looked better on dark, so, glow from black to purple to get that effect.

The background is a combination of a few brushes and several designs from the Simon edition of the Necronomicon as well as a few Kabbalistic and other archaic symbols. The background effect is three brushes from one of the sets you put up here, stretched to fit the screen.

The center sigil is also the "Simon" adaptation of the Sigil of the Gateway from the Necronomicon.

As goofy as that book is, the symbols in it are cool.

I just finished the Necronomicon for research on a book I am currently undertaking. It is a pretty creepy, yet nonsence book. My friend John referred it to me and is seriously creeped out about it. I agree; however, the symbols and the connections I found with other stories throughout history is uncanny.

The Necromicon is a fake, so I wouldn't worry too much
