if your using the vBulletin project tools templates can, will have the link added to them unless you have the plug in disabled or the template is empty.

in the vBulletin admin cp -> expand : Styles & Templates -> click on : Style Manager.

expand the templates for the style you wish to edit :

expand the "project Templates" Group and replace the : "pt_navbar_link" :
