Site upGrade to vB 3.6 rc1

upgraded the site this morning to vB3.6 rc1 .

most the new options have been enabled or configured.

all styles have been upGraded

looking for the gold release .. .

So what are some of the new features we should take special note of?

Apart from the overall sexiness?

Off the top of my head - You can now multiquote in one post, use BCC in pm's, they've incorporated an inbuilt warning system and an RSS feed system. there's loads more but it's early and I'm still half asleep

Hmm, how do you multiquote? Also, can you enable the quick reply on your sites so you don't have to hit the QR button, that's annoying. I always use Quick Reply unless I absolutly have to use the editor functions.

oK -- clicked 2 of the multi quotes -- see if they work -- if not we learned something - they dont' work in the quick reply .. .

and dont' need a click to use the qr now

not needing a click to use qr was already an option in 3.5

Yes, but it wasn't turned on, I like it when you can just go right to the end of a thread and start typing. Something that phpBB didn't have by default that I always did like with vB.

Yeah, it's a shame you can't use MQ with the QR but that kind of makes sense since you can't use quote with it either. <LOL>

in a long post its would be nice to be able to quote the text - with out going to advanced for sure, why its' normally the other way - but for a quick reply in general it kinda sucks -

could always quick reply the last post then not check the quote box ?

<LOL> - no space in between : lol: - if i find another one that works on all backgrounds will use it the other way also .. .

Odd, I can't use the quote at all in QR, the checkbox is grayed out for me. Not that I use it very often but, there ya go... <shrug>

it will quote one post

using the quick reply will make the box active and its able to be checked .

keep forgetting you dont' need to click to reply anymore, and there is a spell checker option here (non wysiwyg mode also) in ie .

one day think maby ff and other browsers might be able to use the default one
