vB Credits

We have installed and are using vB Credits on this site in anticipation of combining it with vBCommerce to try and make into a easy way to purchase styles.

What can it do for me now ?

Everything you do here will let you receive Credits.
Show up and post, posting, purchasing a style and even donations uses this now.
The amount you receive is what you receive - we are basing this on a penny a point .
the Credits are viewable to Just You and admin at this time.
(may be made public - poll attached)

Since vBcommerice is still in the coding, testing stages, we are keeping out newest style or 3 in a box that takes credits to open.
Open the box and you will receive whats inside - just read and follow the message.

DONT" buy credits to open the box -- the style or whats inside will cost you almost 3 times as much as just purchasing it in the store
(subscription manger).
Warning : they are viewable ONLY once - leave the thread/ page, then you must pay again to see whats inside, NO excuses accepted - you will read this over each time you open any high credit box.
( this message inside changes - - us getting duplicate messages shows us you and a friend are scheming - we can see your points - dont' do it, you will both be Baned )

Posting - Not Spamming -

Spam and BS posts, reworking quotes or using an alternative -- just use the site like you should, they do and will add up .
We will remove credits, probably more than you earned in the post.
and infractions may be added - depending - on what you tryed to do - my mood - or any other excuse i can think of .

members can make one of these boxes - your limit is 5, use more it resorts back to 5.

IMHO there is nothing better to make a forum sticky to its members and attractive to non members to change their status.

I am not sure though at this present time on the above poll and why to cast a vote!

Why is that you might wonder?

Well what are the pros and cons of private and public display of posting credits, it would be great to discuss the factors and reasons for both and gain some more information to help evaluate the reasoning for making this decision.

if a majority wants them public then not a problem .

on a site like this its' not how much you post or a competition such may be the case at a gaming site or where the status of a person may use this as a factor .

i liked the program , the main interest in it is because they plan on building a commerce system that could be a store .
this would let me remove some 30+ forums, subscriptions ect.

it does let me know at a glance if a person is also active here or has been supporting the site thru purchases, posting - or maybe needs a bit more help than the rest -

most time i answer posts in the order received - priority to the member areas first .

think 80% of the time they are 'just here' .

can also be used to gain access to items i may not wish to add to the store or if people have bought styles and then see another the chance to get it free .
- the 'hide a hack they have - x Block n' Blue style is now available
a less expensive 'holiday' style that can be used only a few weeks out of the year .


another toy - and what the majority would prefer is the best way ive' found to do things .

everyone has their own ideas for its' use - mine is another option for me and the members to get something for the support .

and its a fun little toy, like the radio

nice idea, Santai. however, how much credit I should have in order to purchase a style ($17 bucks/each)?

right now i have a few on the board - they would be more - trying to figer a penny a point to keep things easy -

right now the settings are a bit high for this, too many points at a time per visit/ per day .

a couple more tweaks and this part of its' done .
no one will loose credits earned .

now am waiting for the program that would work as a store . No eta as of yet, think once vB Credits v1.4 is done it wont' be long after .

the final part is up to them when they get it finished or i can find a way to distribute them easly.
