What would be the best way to put a transparent picture between GFX styles and One Step Ahead... I'd like to put a picture...(i guess it must be transparent to blend in nicely) in the center of the header between those default logos. How would I change the header template ? Thanks guys. This is the default style for my forum now ![]() |

depending on what your doing are a lot of different ways - if something is out of line when changing between fluid and fixed . then it could be changed/ fixed different - the clear image cell - the <td could be width="100%" - but depending on additional links may wrap them . red is the header image and its cell . blue is the additional links darkgreen is the table - one step ahead is in ( had to or ie disagrees with firefox and opera on displays . indigo - is what and where to add an additional image - the path is in the misc dir - everything in the header is aligned to the bottom .

This forum is awesome. I'm impressed with how talented and helpful the mod/admin here try to help new members. (and I've been around vb.org/com/ and other admin sites alot) Keep up the good work, guys Here would be my perfect set up of the header (using default logo for reference) 1) GFX style and One Step Ahead logo is combined in one logo (call it logo_left) Step Ahead is underneath of GFX style. 2) My custom graphic in the center of the header 3) on the right side, instead of ::Forum:Home:: i will have buttons with round edges that blends in nicely with the style. Here is exactly what i have in mind. Notice the buttons on the right handside of Admin Zone Forums ------------------------------------------------ Here are the solutions I'm thinking of 1) I would have to make the psd that came with this style longer to have space for another line of text 2) Answered above. 3) I would love to have psd for these buttons. I'm not a designer so photoshop is not my strongest skill. Ideally, it would have different shade for clicked and unclicked buttons. My site is at Quantnet.org ----------- I know I seem to ask a lot but given the amount of talent and help you guys have here, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys can come through again. Many thanks |

Santai, You are the man (or woman) ![]() I'm looking forward to your buttons. Would it be to much if I request that you release a new psd of left logo with those two text combined, GFX on top and the other underneath it. This would take you seconds but more for me. Really excited about the button psd. I assume you will show us how to change the header template also ? Thanks. |

am working on the taller one to have the tabs in them - a cross between vB.org and taz right now - just getting the pieces together . and will make sure you know how to add tabs , and try and explane how to get it to change colors depending on where your' at - like in the Ap-ple style - the tabs change in it - calendar is green - user-cp red - forums blue -- pretty sure - but they do change . this one just replaces the original logo - just needs to have the text replacing ours - maby crop the lenght down . header template changes . for this one : just quick to work - the links will drop twards the bottom - change the 12 in red to raise them up .

Ok, you are the man. And AL is the woman. I read many of her posts on TAZ ![]() I love the taller logo which allows me to put the second line on the white part. A cross between TAZ and VB is great. And the colored tabs are more than what I expect.... I should have spent more time here than on TAZ, VB...no offense but I feel you guys pay personal attention to each member request which is rare. I'm counting till the morning now.... |

I added the tabs, much better than before Here is how it looks now Quantnet.org - Financial Engineering Forum Where did you include the images over the tab ? I saw that you have roll over image but the guide you post just have basic bar. Also, why you have the if show member condition there ? Did you QuantNet today ? quantnet (v) : to read, post, reply to a topic on Quantnet.org. Example "Can you quantnet that article ?"quantnet (n) : Quantnet.org - a community for people to exchange ideas about quantitative finance |
