I've downloaded this skin and am playing with it as the tabbed navigation is what I've been looking for for ages. The problem I seem to have right now is that I can't seem to get a larger image into the logo spot. I need to have 96px high but no matter what I do whether it be changing the header template to give the <td height="96px"> or modify the relevent css value, I just can't seem to get my image to fit in. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. |

First of all, thank you for your prompt reply! I didn't think you'd reply so quick so please forgive the crappy image I'm attaching as it's nearly 1am here and you caught me just before I went to bed (GMT here). Right, here is what the header looks like when I insert an image the same size as potential logo: ![]() (image size: 474px by 96px) Now, the CSS and the header are set to default in that image as the ONLY thing I changed was the logo location in the StyleVars. Basically, I want to be able to put that sized image into the header row without breaking the design (including the 'break' under the tabs as shown in the picture). Just incase you do *need* it, this is the code in my css/header: Additional CSS Definitions:

easy fix - just need to let you know how to put it all together and all will be fine . the header is controlling the height of the table - it is doing this, and it will effect the background since it is an image. the header needs to have the 5 pxl white line on the bottom of it and the background image. made a psd for this header being 96 pxls of content - width you can change if needed. make the header the way you wish it to be - labeled content - after your finished and have it saved - a 1 pxl background image from the right edge of the header is used for the background - or can be just a one color background the right height with the bottom line on it. attached images ( background is wider than normal for the example ) that makes a header with 96 pxls of content, has the line and works buy just simply uploading them. need help putting it all together just ask - not a problem to get it done for you. That's brilliant, thank you Santai... It was the white line on the bottom that was throwing me as it wasn't showing up on my monitor in photoshop (admittedly, i wasn't really looking for it, assumed it was part of the header! Never assume! )But I've sorted the logo/headersize now which made me do a little happy dance... Now, I have just 2 more questions before I commit myself to using this skin... One, does your skins support vbadvanced? If so, how easy is the integration? and two, I tried turning _tabheader_bg.gif into a gradient to tile but all I was successful in doing was making the gradient repeat across the header rather than tile. I tried a couple things I know how to do but it didn't make a difference. Is this because the background image is defined by the gfx_logo div rather than the <td> itself? Or am I'm just being stupid and can't make it tile? Thank you again for your quick reply before and your help... The gradient isn't "make or break" but the vbadvanced support could make me have to move on so fingers crossed! |

Ok, actually, I lied! I have a bigger question that IS make or break... The board that this skin would be on will need 9 tabs for navigation. With my current resolution of 1440x900, everything works dandy... But, it all goes horribly wrong at 800x600 Is there a way that the tabbed row can be 'under' the logo row so that if someone does have more than just the couple tabs like I do, that they'll "slide" underneath the logo? (as seen by my horribly rushed and amateurish mock up?) *on tenterhooks for reply to this one!* |

no problems -- will get this wrote up and posted in a few using the header you have posted for the changes. vbAdvanced - we use it for the entrance page here with vBa as an integration to goto ( another plug in - have seen it used on the forums also ) on the demo board its used as itself - integration involves changing 2 templates. will make sure they are posted. most other mods we have at one time or another integrated - stats, shout boxes, arcades - most any plug in that uses the vB templates can be fully integrated. this is one of our goals and things we will do / help with , you just need to ask Kenj ![]() insanity leaves you no restrictions ! // support is available via the forums, post the apparent discrepancy or help needed . \\ |

You are my hero! Right, your new header template works a dream, now I'm off to install vbadvanced for the first time and see if it will suit my needs and, if so, we have a winner! :P Thank you again for your help and I REALLY can't tell you how much I appreciate it. The support and service you offer for a free product is second to none, let alone a paid for product. Thank you again and I hope to become part of the community here now! |
