vBulletin.org Forum - View Single Post - Chief First Post - Every Page - 3.6.x

has how its done. need to edit 1 template and one plug in .
as of yet there are no easy options for the change other than copying templates .

for you site - to change between the vertical and legacy is in the admin cp, vBulletin settings then Style & Language Settings.
then near the bottom : Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template

Santai, since you are the expert on vb skinner, can you help me here?

1/ I am looking for how to assign the other groups to use the feature beside admin (already use the "if" for group 6)

2/ After installed the Mod, I experienced this but do not know how to fix.

can use an array instead of the single option : make sure to follow the format - php5 wont' work if it dont' have the ' replace add or remove numbers as needed .
just replace the one your using with:
Code:
Guests are not allowed to view code. To enable the
viewing of code, please click 'here' to register.
getting rid of the drop down arrows :

in show thread, forum display or the navigation its all the same, just a different script name :

in the script - after you find the ones you need add a " ,1 "
Code:
Guests are not allowed to view code. To enable the
viewing of code, please click 'here' to register.
to
Code:
Guests are not allowed to view code. To enable the
viewing of code, please click 'here' to register.
the text is way at the top in the menu shown, it 'normaly' is adjusted / set in the vbmeny_control css ?? .

the mis alignment on the post bit may be an admin thing because of the check box - we get it here also on a few of the styles, well most of the styles, think it has built in padding - besides the one added .

Thanks Santai. I get rid off the drop down image on the "Thread Tool." Now I need to find which template I need to do to remove the drop down image for:
"Search This Thread"
"Rate Thread"
"Display Modes"
"Moderation"
"Search This Forum"
"Forum Tool"

Also, how am I going to find out the group number?

Default Re: Question

to find the group id, look in your usergroups, each one has a number

and these

why should i use the list ?

easy way to find them 'all' as you dont' have them all is to ,

in the admin-cp -> styles and templates : click on 'search in templates.
the very top box : Search Templates -> choose a style ; in the box search for " vbmenu_register " - click find - click on each template in red for the style to edit or edit . after its' saved should bring you back to the list, just keep on going till you have done what you needed to do

then :

click on the find/ search in the template - is inserted in the find box : then edit the phraze

or a list of them ;..

search for vbmenu_register in each template to find them :

or the templates are :
calendar,
forumdisplay,
memberlist,
memberlist_search,
moderation threads,
modifylist, navbar ( or header - depending if the navbar was moved, pm_messages,
pm_newpm,
search_forums,
search_results,
showthread,
subscripe and
usercp_shell

Thanks Santai... learning the new vB for me.
Did you fix the postbit Article so that the user information align correctly? If you did, may I ask for the instruction? Thanks!
