What do I need to add

to make an alert next to Private Messages in the Welcome box?

I like the blue flashing light you have in the St. Pat's day skin, and I would like to be able to add that feature to my other skins. Is there coding that needs to be added, and where?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated!

make sure you have an image in the misc directory named : _newemail.gif

in the navbar template find :

there is an indicator for the private messages also - i am assuming if notifications is off it will take over -
